Who's Behind I Backpack Canada?

corbin_drivingMy name is Brian, I’m a 20-something guy from the flatlands of Canada, known to most as Saskatchewan. Despite being one of the tougher provinces to spell, it’s not such a bad place to grow up.  My family has a huge farm just North of Regina, where we have cattle, a few horses, and thousands of acres of land. After finishing High-School, I fell into the trap of taking a year off before diving into Uni. Best. Trap. Ever. I sold my truck (yep, Ford Ranger had to go), most of my possessions, and took off for a year of Round the World Travel. I loved every minute of it, and upon arrival back home, I realized I couldn’t stop. I needed a fix. BAD. So I steal my Mom’s car 2 months after being home, and drive it 30 some hours West to Vancouver, perhaps or perhaps not to see a girl I was traveling with in Australia. After travelling all the way back and some over a couple months, I realized how little info there is on Canada for backpackers. I noticed the infrastructure for budget travel was there, however, for some reason people had been keeping it a secret, or just decided it was too cold to bother telling anyone. Sissies. Here I am, spillin’ the metaphorical beans all over for <img alt="corbin_jammin" src="http://ibackpackcanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/corbin_jammin-199x300.jpg" title="corbin_jammin"> everyone to pick up. Enjoy! Random Facts About Me Fact 1: I dig music, I hope it digs me back Fact 2: I used to rock at hockey, until I screwed up my spine Fact 3: I play guitar like a mother ducka Fact 4: I’m a computer nerd and have the glasses to prove it Fact 5: I’ve lived off 2 minute noodles for months on end with no ill effects (yet) Fact 6: Whiskey is my poison of choice Fact 7: I have a tendency to crash every bycicle I get on. It’s the only vehicle I own Fact 8: Picking scabs is an artform. I am Picasso Fact 9: Sci-Fi is the greatest genre of fiction, particularly if the novel has lasers Fact 10: Dental hygiene is important? Yes, it most certainly is PS: If you think I’m cool enough to be worth emailing - feel free to contact me at webmaster(at)ibackpackcanada(dot)com

150 Things To Do In Canada

I'm pleased to announce my first ebook is available on Amazon Kindle. In honour of Canada's 150th Anniversary, I wanted to highlight my favourite things to do in each province and territory across Canada.

This ebook is super affordable as this is my first attempt at an ebook, and I'm hoping it will encourage people to flip through it before their summer travels across Canada. Please leave a positive review if you find it useful! I'm pulling late nights at the moment working on another ebook which is set to release before summer. Stay tuned!
