In remembrance of Glenda Brezinsky

I poke through my hometowns newspaper, the Regina Leader Post, every so often. Sometimes as a way to reminisce, other times just to see if I’m missing anything crucial. However while reading today I found some unsettling news. Glenda Brezinsky, the Executive Director of Hosteling International Saskatchewan, passed away last week during her battle with cancer at the age of 47. Glenda was an employee at the ‘Turgeon International Hostel’ for 21 years and was an avid supporter of providing an affordable and comfortable location for travelers to stay while visiting Saskatchewan. She was one of the many faces of Regina to greet young and old travelers from around the world, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her parents, her sister, two brothers, and many relatives. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
