I Backpack Canada nominated for Saskatchewan Tourism Award of Excellence

Posted on March 22, 2011  •  1 minutes  • 180 words

It appears karma is making me feel extra guilty for slowing my writing down. I Backpack Canada is one of the finalists for a Saskatchewan Tourism Award of Excellence . It looks like they filed me under Travel Media Award. Apparently all of those blog posts about my home province of Saskatchewan have caught the eye of some of the Tourism folks, and come April 20th, I’ll find out how I did. Unfortunately, I’ll be back in Halifax by then and won’t be able to attend the Saskatchewan Tourism Gala (blame school for getting in the way). Perhaps this is the push I need to realize I’ve got to keep the blog alive! I’ve got a fair amount of travel booked over the next few months so hopefully I can continue to push out some decent content. In the meantime, I’ve got some things to do while I’m back in Regina for another couple weeks. Hopefully I’ll be able to churn out a couple posts out of this visit home. Wish me luck! <img alt="Playing Billiards in PEI" src="http://ibackpackcanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Playing-Billiards.jpg" title="Playing-Billiards">

150 Things To Do In Canada

I'm pleased to announce my first ebook is available on Amazon Kindle. In honour of Canada's 150th Anniversary, I wanted to highlight my favourite things to do in each province and territory across Canada.

This ebook is super affordable as this is my first attempt at an ebook, and I'm hoping it will encourage people to flip through it before their summer travels across Canada. Please leave a positive review if you find it useful! I'm pulling late nights at the moment working on another ebook which is set to release before summer. Stay tuned!
