Vancouver is one of the cities in Canada where you’ll derive unending pleasure when you visit but that’s if you desire endless pleasure. The city offers lots of fun although it’s the ideal destination for folks with deep purses. The fact that it’s one of the most expensive cities in the world cannot be overemphasized. However, it’s worth every penny, and here are five reasons why you should visit Vancouver. [caption id=“attachment_9726” align=“aligncenter” width=“1024”]vancouver Creative Commons License[/caption]

THE BIG CITY

Vancouver is arguably a cosmopolitan city where you’ll find fashionable restaurants, five-star hotels, art galleries, theaters, fascinating sporting events, nightlife amongst others. You could visit the Vancouver Art Gallery to stay informed on the latest art exhibit, visit the Orpheum for the best of Vancouver Symphony, laugh it off at the Comedy Mix, or catch a musical at Queen Elizabeth Theatre. If you’re into sports, you could also cheer on the city’s sports teams like BC Lions, Whitecaps, amongst others.

THE FOOD

Vancouver is a city where you’ll have the opportunity to eat a different ethnic cuisine whenever you want as there are places where they serve Ethiopian, German, Japanese, Mexican, Ecuadorian, Greek, and Italian cuisine amongst others, albeit dependent on the size of your budget. Some of the trendy restaurants are the City of Marcello where you can buy and eat delicious pizza, Samurai Sushi where you can get access to the most delicious Sushi rolls, as well as the World Wrap Place in Gastown where you can find the best donairs. This is just mentioning a few. Food trucks also abound in the city. One of such is Mom’s Grilled Cheese. Vancouver is one city where foods for different nationalities can be found. vancouver-seawall-bike

STANLEY PARK

This public park is one of the sights to behold in Vancouver. It comprises a 400-hectare rainforest, an 8.8km seawall, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. Stanley Park was rated as the best public park in the world by TripAdvisor in 2014. I guess many folks didn’t bet against it been awarded. Speaking about bets, while in Vancouver, you could go online and place bets at Casimba Casino with ease and see yourself winning big and supporting your budget. Stanley Park is a park where you could spend weeks and still not get a full glimpse of what it offers. It’s arguably the ideal place for folks who are yearning for an exploration adventure. Touring with bicycles is one of the possibilities on offer. You could also swim in the outdoor pool, play golf with folks, and sunbath on the beach if you wish.

CHINATOWN

It’s no more news that the third-largest Chinatown in North America is found in Vancouver. A walk through the streets will see you viewing street signs and shop names written in Chinese, as well as beautiful red lanterns, foods for sale in sidewalk stalls, amongst others. In your time there, you could eat dim sum at a restaurant, visit a traditional Chinese herbalist, try their coconut bun, and also spend some time in Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s classic Chinese garden. It’s the first garden of it’s kind to be established outside China. The structure has some relationship with the Ming Dynasty architecture. Best-Weekend-Road-Trips-from-Greater-Vancouver

THE WEATHER AND CLIMATE

You’ll confirm that it often rains in Vancouver when you visit. The city residents witness 161 rainy days yearly and it has been established as the third most rainy city in Canada. However, its summer is fascinating and the average temperature during this period is around 25C between June and August. These are periods when it hardly rains. Little wonder why a majority of the city’s visitors come around during the aforementioned periods. Vancouver’s winter season is very enjoyable and this is due to the mild weather. It must also be noted that snowfalls are a rare occurrence in the city.
