Special delivery! These bison have just found a new home. While bisons numbers have dwindled immensely in modern times, there has been an active campaign to help reintroduce bison in many of their ancient herding grounds. Parks Canada delievered 16 bison from Elk Island National Park to the remote Panther Valley in the famous Banff National Park. This video shows the entire process. It reminds me a bit of that movie from the 90s, Operation Dumbo Drop, only more majestic. You can’t help but wonder what’s going through the bisons heads as they’re being lifted off.
