Canada has some of the best mountains for skiing as well as the perfect weather for amazing powder. Snow is abundant throughout Canada, so skiers will never have to worry about whether or not they are hitting the slopes filled with the real fluffy stuff while they are skiing in British Columbia. If you’re after skiing in the Rocky Mountains, check out my guide to skiing the rockies .

Here are three of my favourite ski resorts in British Columbia:

Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort

Whistler has everything that a skier (or snowboarder) wants, whether it is snow, events, shopping, fine dining, or a gondola ride. Whistler has 8,171 acres of terrain that is perfect for both beginners and experts on the slopes. At the moment, there are fifty-seven trails with twenty-four lifts available to take skiers up to the top of the mountain. The PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is a high-speed chairlift that allows people to go from one mountain to the other with ease all day long. During the winter months, world class athletes can be seen showing off their skills as they twist and turn through a ring of fire in the fire and ice show. Whistler Village is definitely where the action is off of the slopes and people can be found in the numerous restaurants and small shops at all hours of the day and into the night. A two-day lift ticket is $214 for adults; however, people can purchase their lift tickets in advance to save some money or they can purchase a ski and stay package for even greater savings. Panorama Mountain Resort

Panorama has 2,847 acres of terrain that is filled with open fields, snow covered trees and the steep Taynton Bowl. Many beginner skiers will enjoy the numerous wide open runs while the experts will want to head over to Taynton Bowl for some excitement. There are one hundred and twenty named trails and more than half of them are good for intermediate skiers. There are ten lifts that take people up to the top of the mountain. The resort is similar to a small village and no guest will have to leave the comforts of the resort for any reason during their stay. There are many different restaurants and boutiques and guests can also use any of the hot pools or get an on-mountain massage at any time. An adult lift ticket is $92, but everyone can save a little bit of money by purchasing their tickets online before they arrive at the resort. For the best lift ticket price, guests are encouraged to book a room at the resort too. Fernie Alpine Resort

Fernie has 2,500 acres of skiable terrain with 142 trails and 5 alpine bowls. Fernie’s is a wonderful place for beginner skiers, because they have an area just for them. There are many restaurants and stores available at Fernie’s and guests can even leave their children at the on-site daycare while they are out on the slopes. Anyone who is not too tired in the evening will want to head out for some of the fabulous nightlife that happens near the resort. An adult lift ticket is $99.95 and multi-day and season passes are available as well. They offer many packages for accommodations and lift tickets, so everyone can save quite a bit of money on those. Skiing is a wonderful sport where people can spend lots of time with their family and friends. These three ski resorts will make everyone’s skiing experience more enjoyable as well as affordable. Everyone can arrive at the resort and spend their entire time there whether they are skiing, snowboarding, shopping, dining, or relaxing in the spa. There is no better way to spend a vacation than this. Remember to book early to take advantage of early bird rates.

150 Things To Do In Canada

I'm pleased to announce my first ebook is available on Amazon Kindle. In honour of Canada's 150th Anniversary, I wanted to highlight my favourite things to do in each province and territory across Canada.

This ebook is super affordable as this is my first attempt at an ebook, and I'm hoping it will encourage people to flip through it before their summer travels across Canada. Please leave a positive review if you find it useful! I'm pulling late nights at the moment working on another ebook which is set to release before summer. Stay tuned!
