Off to Vancouver for TBEX 2011

Its finally arrived. The moment where I’m frantically packing, hoping I haven’t forgotten anything. My mental checklist says I’ve thought of everything, but you know what they say about mice, men, and best laid plans. So be it! I’m ready as I’ll ever be. I catch a flight late-late tonight / stupid-early tomorrow morning heading out west to beautiful British Columbia.

My Backpack and New Card

For those of you unaware, I’m attending TBEX. Otherwise known as Travel Blog Exchange! The list of people I’m hoping to meet at this event would fill this post up to border-line nonsense. So to save your sanity (and some of my own time), allow me to simply say I’m excited to meet a buttload of other travel bloggers.

If you’re attending TBEX and would like to meet up for a beer along the way, don’t hesitate to contact me. I should have some free time between seminars & such.

    Hi Corbin,

Just wanted to offer my congratulations and say that it’s great to see you getting some physical returns on your travel blog through awards etc (and not just comments/compliments). I must say that as serial lurker and ibackpackcanada-ophile I look forward to each and every one of your posts, although I usually wish they were more often and longer … I especially loved the post on ten ways to die in Canada, which I think was the first post of yours that I read.

I am in fact in Canada now, on Vancouver Island actually, headed back to Vancouver on the 16th – but not to the Exchange. I have started my own poor imitation of a travel blog, more to let my family and friends know what I am up to, but I can say that you (and one or two others) inspired me to start it, rather than simply keeping a journal or posting on Facebook.

    Keep the posts coming!

    Rose

Thanks rose! I love hearing that I’m being read. And thanks for the congrats. I’ll do my best to keep hammerin’ away at posts and get some more goofy list post done up. Enjoy Vancouver Island.
