Hostelworld.com is the world’s leading hostel-focused online booking platform. The flagship brand of parent company Web Reservations International (WRI), the site was launched in 1999 when a hostel owner and IT entrepreneur identified a niche in the market to introduce online bookings into hostels. The company went from strength to strength and has gone on to become the leading provider of online reservations for the budget, independent and youth travel market.

Samesun Backpacker Lodges
Samesun hostels are some of my favourite hostels to stay in, specializing in making your stay at a hostel a memorable one. Their famous “Beaver Bars” keep people talking in person vs glued to their phones, and their daily activities ensure you’ve got plenty to do during your stay. With locations in large cities such as Los Angeles and Vancouver, to smaller mountain properties in Banff and Silver Star. Samesun puts an emphasis on social travel, as this is what makes a trip.

Momondo are sort of the new kids on the block. Their flight booking engine is awesome – and makes you feel like you’re actually looking for flights on a modern internet, rather than some ghetto search engine circa 2001. Their rates are typically very comparable to other flight booking sites.
