In March 2015, Dr. Randal Olson, A Computer Science & Engineering Ph.D. at Michigan State University organized what he called “the absolute US road trip”, thanks to a fancy formula he came up with. HuffPo Canada felt shafted, and asked if he could use said formula the true North. Being a man of science he obliged, and came up with this. A 16,226 km road trip across Canada that would take approximately 32 days to complete, assuming you stick to 6 hours of driving each day.
As you can imagine, if you plan on stopping to tour certain areas, expect that time to increase. While Nunavut may not have been included (lack of road access to that part of Canada) I think this road trip hits just about everything you could possibly ask for in a tour of Canada. Great work Randy!
